Orders & shipping
What happens after you place an order, and how it gets to you.
When will my order ship?
We usually ship non-FFL parts within 24 hours of receiving payment.
Actions, barreled actions and complete rifles ship after we have received both your payment and your dealer's FFL.
Anything with gunsmithing work follows the lead times on the Gunsmithing page.
Has my order shipped? How do I track it?
We will email you a paid invoice with a tracking number when your stuff ships. You will also get a shipment notification from the carrier, usually UPS.
Please check your spam folder before panicking.
Who do you ship with?
UPS is our primary carrier. Alaska and Hawaii usually go USPS.
If you need expedited shipping we will do what we can. Additional costs will apply.
Special delivery instructions like “leave by front door” may not be carried out by the carrier.
I ordered an action or a rifle. Where does it ship?
Actions, barreled actions and complete rifles must ship to an FFL dealer, unless the receiver came from the customer directly.
Having your FFL dealer's name, phone number and email address ready at checkout is very helpful.
Complete rifles ship in a hard case inside a cardboard box unless you've supplied one.
Do you ship internationally?
We do NOT ship internationally. If you need something shipped out of the US, you need to make arrangements with an exporter. We would ship to the exporter on your behalf.
My order never arrived, or something is missing.
Check the tracking first and confirm every package shows delivered. If it does and you still don't have it, or an item is missing from the box, call us within 72 hours of the delivery date.
Can I change or cancel an order?
Call as soon as you can. Once an order has shipped it can't be changed, and parts sales are final once they're out the door. See Parts sales & returns.
Payment
What are my payment choices?
- Credit card online. Credit card payments are subject to a 3% fee.
- ACH. You will not pay during checkout. We will email you a payment link.
- Send a check. You will not pay online. Mail us a check or money order.
When is my card charged?
When you place the order. For gunsmithing work, the deposit is charged up front and the balance when the work is done.
How long will you hold an item for payment?
We will hold your stuff for two weeks. If a payment isn't received in two weeks, we put it back into inventory without notice.
Do I have to pay sales tax?
Tax is calculated at checkout based on where the order ships. Dealers with a resale certificate: see Dealers.
I need a copy of my receipt.
An invoice is emailed with every order. We do not print and enclose an invoice unless you specifically ask us to.
Parts sales & returns
What is your return policy?
Parts sales are final. Returns are not accepted. Barrels, actions, triggers and the rest are sold as delivered from the maker; once they're in your hands they're yours.
If we sent the wrong item, call as soon as you are aware and we will swap it out for the correct one.
I received the wrong product.
Call as soon as you are aware and we will swap it out with the correct stuff.
Parts need to be in new, unmodified, re-sellable condition. NO EXCEPTIONS.
What about a barrel that doesn't shoot?
Read Accuracy expectations and Barrel break-in first. Most “bad barrels” aren't. If you've done that and it still won't group, call and we'll talk through it.
We are not authorized to offer warranty on parts. The individual manufacturers have their own warranty policies.
Gunsmithing & services
The rules for work we do on your parts. Pricing and lead times are on the Gunsmithing page.
Are deposits refundable?
Deposits on special order parts are NOT refundable.
If you need to cancel a barreled action or build, you will likely have already paid for the action as a deposit. We will ship you your action, assuming no parts have been modified already.
What if I don't pay the balance when my work is done?
Any work not paid for within one year of the final invoice date becomes the property of Southern Precision Rifles, unless arrangements were made ahead of time.
How do I send in a barrel or action?
Call first to be sure we can do the work you need. Then follow the steps under Send in a barrel and include your inbound work form.
Actions, barreled actions and rifles can be shipped directly from the customer if they have already transferred the items via a 4473. Otherwise they need to come from another FFL license holder.
Does the credit card fee apply to services?
Yes. 3% on card payments for services, same as parts.
Dealers & special orders
Do you offer commercial or reseller pricing?
Yes, for resellers. Commercial status is determined by SPR; the pricing structure is emailed on request, individually.
Can you special order something you don't have in stock?
For most of our manufacturers, yes. But special orders need to be arranged outside the website.
A small non-refundable deposit will be collected to place the order, and the balance will be due before the item ships.
Your account
Do I need an account to order?
No. You can check out as a guest. An account keeps your addresses and order history in one place. Tick “Create an account” at checkout or go to My Account.
I forgot my password.
Reset it here and you'll get an email with a link. Check spam if it doesn't arrive in a few minutes.
How do I change my address or details?
My Account → Addresses for shipping and billing, Account details for name, email and password.
Do you have coupon codes?
No. Never have, and probably never will.
Is my information sold or shared?
No. What we collect and why is in the privacy policy. Card details are handled by our payment processor and never stored on this site.
Site terms
Using this site
By using this site or placing an order you agree to these terms and to the policies above. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Everything here (text, photos, drawings, logos and code) belongs to Southern Precision Rifles or is used with the owner's permission. It is here so you can read about the work and place an order. Copying it for anything else needs our permission. Maker names and logos belong to their makers.
Prices and listings
Prices, specifications and availability can change without notice, and we correct mistakes when we find them. If an item is listed at the wrong price or shown in stock when it isn't, we may cancel the order, even after it has been confirmed, and refund what you were charged in full.
We may decline or cancel any order at our discretion.
Products and warranty
Parts are sold as delivered from their makers. Southern Precision Rifles is not authorized to offer a warranty on parts; each manufacturer has its own warranty policy. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, the site and the products sold through it are provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
How a part performs depends on your rifle, your load and the work done to install it. See Accuracy expectations and our return policy.
Buying lawfully and using parts safely
You are responsible for knowing and following the federal, state and local laws that apply to what you buy and where you live. By ordering you confirm that you can legally purchase and own the item. Actions, barreled actions and rifles ship only as described under Orders and shipping.
Firearm parts should be fitted and checked by a qualified gunsmith before use. You are responsible for the safe assembly, handling and use of anything you buy from us.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Southern Precision Rifles is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of this site or of products bought through it. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that item or service. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Other sites and your information
We link to manufacturers and other sites for your convenience. We don't control them and aren't responsible for what is on them. What we collect on this site and why is in the privacy policy.
